WHAT IS BALTURKA?
​"Balturka works together with all members of the Lithuanian society, locals, and foreigners. The core of our mission is to contribute to the understanding and to the acceptance of other people and cultures. What we want to achieve during our path and through our actions can also be define as the “Art of Living Together”.

EVENTS

Poetic Umbrella

“Under the umbrella of Lithuanian language and culture” takes place the second week of may, in what is called “the poetic spring”. The aim of the event is to bring Lithuanians and foreigners together with poetry. Participants from all over the world will learn, with the help of a local volunteer, Lithuanian typical poems, which will be recited during the final event.

Intercultural Park

Association Baltic Turkish Culture Academy initiated the project, during which foreigners who live in Lithuania had the opportunity, together with Lithuanians, to plant trees and furthermore creating an international park. Tree planting is a part of the process of integration; foreigners feel welcomed in the Republic of Lithuania.
